Two Monologues

Two students deliver monologues from opposing sides of the same event — simultaneously.

The simultaneity creates the experience of two truths existing at the same time — impossible to ignore either.

Instructions

Assign pairs two characters from opposite sides of a conflict or situation. Each prepares a 1-minute monologue. They deliver them simultaneously — standing back to back, speaking at the same time, at the same volume. The group listens to both at once. Then each delivers their monologue again — this time alone, in silence.
