One Voice

A group must answer questions speaking as a single voice — all together, word by word.

Demands extreme attunement to the group — students must surrender individual control for collective flow.

Instructions

Small groups stand together. The teacher asks a question. The group must answer speaking simultaneously, one word at a time, as if they are a single person — no planning who says what. They must watch and feel each other to stay together. Start with simple questions, build to complex ones. Debrief: what did it take to become one voice?
