The Object Speaks
An ordinary object becomes a witness — and tells what it has seen.
Removes the pressure of personal opinion — students speak through an object, which makes bold statements easier.
Instructions
Choose an object relevant to your lesson — a coin, a letter, a tool, a piece of clothing. Students take turns speaking as that object in first person: where they have been, what they have witnessed, what they have felt. Each student adds one sentence to the object's story. Read it back as a whole at the end.
