Memory Box
Students choose three objects that would represent a character's life — and explain why.
Creates deep character understanding through object choice — students must think about values, not just facts.
Instructions
Each student is given or chooses a character — historical, fictional, or real. They must choose three objects that would go in that character's memory box — things that represent who they were, what they valued, what they lost or gained. Share with a partner. Partners ask one question about each object. Debrief as a group.
