Hot Take Timer
Students defend a random opinion for exactly 60 seconds.
Decouples personal identity from spoken opinion — makes speaking feel safer.
Instructions
Prepare cards with low-stakes opinions (e.g. 'Pizza is overrated', 'Mornings are better than evenings', 'Cats are smarter than dogs'). Each student draws a card and must defend that opinion for 60 seconds — even if they disagree with it. The group listens without interrupting. Applause after each.
