Fishbowl
A small group discusses in the center — the rest observe and then swap in.
Teaches the difference between talking and listening — and makes listening an active role.
Instructions
Arrange 4-5 chairs in a circle in the center of the room. The rest of the class sits around the outside. The inner group discusses a question for 5 minutes while the outer group listens and takes notes. Then swap — outer comes in, inner goes out. Debrief: what did you notice from the outside that you missed from inside?
