Build the Tower

Instructions

Give each small group identical materials — paper, tape, string, and one marshmallow or weight for the top. They have 12 minutes to build the tallest free-standing structure that can hold the weight. No talking to other groups. At the end, measure each tower. Debrief: what did your group do well? What would you change?

Variation

Halfway through, each group must send one spy to observe another group for 30 seconds.
